This five day spring and summer sale is a great opportunity to clean out your closets. Take those like-new clothes, toys and baby equipment and turn them into cash. You will earn 2/3 of the selling price and not have to hassle with setting up the sale. Bring 10 or more items on one of our receiving days, then take part in an exclusive consignor sale (before we open to the public).

ZIP TIES (Cable Ties) are mandatory in connecting your tags to your items. Connect
the tag / zip tie through a button hole, tag in the coller, belt loop, zipper, etc.
Safety pins will not be accepted unless there is ABSOLUTELY NO place to connect a
zip tie. Thanks you for your assistance in increasing security and making the
checkout lines more efficient.

Please limit shoes to 3 pairs and stuffed animals to 3.

All articles should be clean, ironed and in good condition. We will accept only items that meet these standards.

Kids Exchange will be held at the State Fairgrounds in the Jim Graham building. Directions are at the bottom of this page. This building is now Air Conditioned and Heated!

We are excited about our bar-code tagging system. We upgraded to computers and use scanners at check out. You will print your tags off of our website. Your bar-code (which includes your name and consignor #) will be printed on your tags in the upper center. Tag according to the directions below. This process is simple and makes Kids Exchange efficient and accurate. If you do not want your name on your tags, simply "white out" your name before making copies. Please DO NOT CUT your name off the tags.

How To Get Your Bar-code
* If you are a first time consignor, click on new consignor registration and register for a consignor number. Please call if you do not have access to email: (205) 824-8245 1. Go to http://www.kidsexchange.net/tags.htm (Or simply choose "print my tags" off the KidsExchange website's Homepage.)
2. Click on your name.
3. Print your tags onto CARDSTOCK paper, available at any office store or Walmart. CARDSTOCK works in your printer just like plain paper. OR you can make 1 copy on plain paper and take it to Kinkos and let them copy it onto CARDSTOCK for you. YOU MUST USE
CARDSTOCK - PLAIN PAPER IS TOO THIN

 

How To Tag Your Items

1. Use the tags that you printed off of our web site on cardstock.

2. Price. Please write price in large numbers. Prices should be in $1.00 increments. (I.e. $1.00, $2.00, etc.). Any price not in dollar increments will be rounded to the lowest dollar. Sunday all items will be 50% off. If you do not want your items to be marked down, please write your prices in RED ink. Hint --- items should be priced at about 1/3 of original price.

3. Size. Please do not use S, M, L, instead use 4t, 6, 8, etc.

4. Consignor number. New consignors please visit our website www.kidsexchange.net and click on new consignor registration.
July 4th is the last day you can get a consignor number.

5. Item. Describe each item at the bottom of the tag.

6. ZIP TIE. Attach tag in a button hole, belt loop or tag in collar of garment with a ZIP TIE.

7. Please hang clothes on metal hangers (free at most dry cleaners). Face hanger to the left.

8. Please sort all clothes by sex and size.

9. Please put shoes in a ziplock bag with the tag. Limit 3 pairs of like-new shoes please.

10. Please use clear packing tape to attach tags to toys or other items. Secure loose parts with packing tape.

The PARENTS' FAIR is made up of 15 Pro-Family Exhibitors who will be on site to offer you products, services and advice at a discounted rate! Every exhibit will have a $50.00 giveaway! This event is geared directly towards our shoppers, offering you goods and services to benefit young parents. Spend the day with us and enjoy this wonderful event!

The Parent's Fair opens one hour early on Thursday and Sunday.

*Exit Wade Avenue, *Exit Blueridge Road, *Turn right onto Blueridge Road

From 440 (Raleigh's Beltline)
*Exit Wade Avenue, (towards airport/Durham)
*Exit Blueridge Road, *Turn left onto Blueridge Road

...Once on Blueridge Road, turn right into the flea market/fairgrounds main entrance and continue straight thru the fairgrounds to the Jim Graham Building. It is just past Dorton Arena on the left.
