CABLE
TIES / ZIP TIES
Cable ties should be used to attach tags to garment. This is mandatory.
Safety pins are ONLY acceptable if the item has absolutely NO place
to cable tie. (Please note: a t-shirt's collor tag is a great place
to cable tie.) Items will be checked for "no safety pins" during receiving.
Cable ties (also called zip ties) are made of nylon, and can be purchased
at home depot, lowes, walmart, etc. in the electrical department. They
can be attached in a buttonhole, beltloop or even through the tag on
the inside collar of the item. It is very important that the tag is
on the front torso of the item. Cable ties speed up checkout lines,
and eliminate tags from coming off.

CODES
This is a mandatory
requirement for the consignors. Hand written consignor numbers can not
be accepted with our system. This system is very simple and we are sure
that you will love it. Instead of using index cards, you will use a
"consignor tagging card". This 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of paper will consist
of 8 cards. Your individual consignor upc / bar code will appear in
the top center of each card. You will simply copy the card - for the
number of items you will be selling - and cut the cards out. All copy
centers have paper cutters for your use. Using these free cutters will
make your cutting very simple and quick.
VERY IMPORTANT: You must use card stock paper to make your copies.
This is the same weight as an index card. The card stock paper is available
at all copy center (ie: Kinkos, Office Depot, Staples, etc.) You can
also purchase a package of card stock paper and print your own consignor
tagging cards off of the internet. Normal weight copy paper will not
scan into our system and may rip during the sale, resulting in non-payment
for your items. Please help us make this system work by using only card
stock paper. You will write in the price, size and description as normal
and zip tie / tape the tags to your items. This system will provide
you with very accurate commission and a more productive check-out line!
How do I get my card???

for your consignor cards whenever possible.
The Kid's Exchange
accepts children's clothing, shoes, toys, bikes, games, videos, car
seats, furniture, maternity and other related items on consignment.
This five day fall and winter consignment sale is a great opportunity
to clean out your closets. Take those like-new clothes, toys and baby
equipment and turn them into cash. You will earn 2/3 of the selling
price and not have to hassle with setting up the sale. We do accept
volunteers. The Volunteer Sale is Wed., July 19th from 3pm-8pm (see
below). If you plan to volunteer, please call or e-mail for a scheduled
time. Bring 10 or more items on one of our receiving days, then take
part in an exclusive CONSIGNOR sale on Thursday, July 20th from 9:00am-6:00pm
(before we open to the public). If you plan to consign items, you must
call or e-mail and get an assigned number.
